REGULAR FOOT CARE MEANS MORE THAN JUST ATTRACTIVE FEET
We use them to stroll around town, walk on sandy beaches, or climb up mountains. They carry us over the finish line when we do sports, and sometimes we are just happy to be able to put them up for a rest. It’s not really surprising because we take around 200 million steps in our lifetime – which is the equivalent of walking around the planet as many as three times! Nevertheless, our feet spend most of their time hidden away in the dark and trapped in shoes that are frequently far too tight.
As our mobility is so important to us, we should pay greater attention to our feet – and treat them to some well-earned care at regular intervals! In return, they will thank us for it by forming calloused skin at a slower pace, as calluses protect against pressure and the resulting pressure marks. Or by producing less sweat when they overheat yet again in closed-toe shoes. And by eliminating pathogens such as foot fungus because the skin barrier is strengthened by the supply of moisture and lipids.
